Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is not working
Your Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service may not function correctly, or may cause some services to stop working. In addition, various error messages may be displayed.
To resolve this issue, you must allow the following ports in the Ports and Protocol list.
- DNS - ICS (UDP 53)
- DHCP - ICS (UDP 67)
- DHCP - ICS (UDP 68)
To allow the required ports on the Ports and Protocol list, follow these steps:
- In the left side of the Windows Live OneCare display, click View or change settings.
- Click the Firewall tab.
- Under Other settings, click Advanced Settings.
- Click the Ports and Protocols tab.
- For each item in the list above click the Allow check box next to it in the Ports and Protocols List window.
- Click OK.
